The Improv Show
In an intentional space where the performers know their queerness is the superpower of the scene and not the joke, our LGBTQIA+ improvisers make up a hilariously insightful and creative show on the spot based on the details of a vulnerable and heartfelt coming out/coming into self story told by our incredibly talented monologists!
No cast (or show) is ever the same and features players of all experience levels including Broadway stars. Each show illustrates that even if our stories or identities are different, we are connected through our experiences as humans.
In the past, TYFCO has collaborated with the Magnet Theater to execute show fundraisers for nonprofits raising thousands of dollars. Each show, the Magnet donated 100% of the ticket proceeds to the select organization. Some of those organizations include, New Alternatives, Live Out Loud, The Ally Coalition, HRC, Planned Parenthood, I’m From Driftwood, Athlete Ally, Keshet, Lambda Legal, PFLAG, and TransKids Purple Rainbow Foundation.
